Key Action Points
1. Purpose-Goal
The Action “Transition to innovative, extroverted and smart specialization” aims to strengthen the activities of the priority sectors of the National Smart Specialization Strategy, through the support of existing micro, small and medium-sized enterprises of the Central Macedonia Region.
2. Support regime:

4. Beneficiaries-Eligible Companies:
Existing Small and Medium Enterprises of the Central Macedonia Region. Businesses that have at least two (2) complete closed management years 2021-2022 before the date of electronic submission of the financing application.
5. Basic Conditions of Participation The basic conditions for participation are:
Beneficiaries must be active in Greek territory, operate legally and invest exclusively within the Region of Central Macedonia. The investment plan must be documented with at least one Regional Outcome of the Central Macedonia Region. The proposed investment plan must relate to at least one of the eligible SDFs of the invitation, in which the beneficiaries should be substantially active, during the closed management year 2022 (Main SDF or SDF with higher revenues).
6. Sectors/Business Activity Code of aid:
The eligible fields of activity are reflected in APPENDIX XI ELIGIBLE FIELDS OF ACTIVITY of the Detailed Call for Action.
7. Budget (Public Expenditure):
€65,000,000.00
8. Grant rate:
45%
The subsidized budget of each investment project can range from €60,000 to €400,000 and cannot exceed twice the highest turnover achieved in one of the last two closed management periods (2021-2022).
9. Eligible Expenditures – Duration of implementation of projects (operations):
The date of publication of the call for action (13/12/2023) is defined as the start date of expenditure eligibility. The end date of the expenditure eligibility period is defined as the final date of completion of the act, i.e. twenty-four (24) months from the date of approval of the funding application (evaluation result).
The eligible expenses should serve the intervention areas of the outcome(s) that will be selected, and relate to:
- Buildings, facilities and surroundings
- Production & Mechanical Equipment
- Equipment for the protection of the Environment and Energy Saving
- Digital office equipment & Software Electric Vehicles Provision of Services (consulting services, software services, certifications, design/development of products/services, know-how transfer)
- Promotion (participation in exhibitions & other promotion costs)
- Newly hired staff Indirect costs
10. Submission & Evaluation of Funding Applications
The applications are submitted exclusively online from 22/01/2024 at 12:00 to 23/7/2024 at 14:00.
The evaluation of applications will be comparative. A check of completeness and compliance with participation conditions will be carried out.
